Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about volunteering

Do I need any special qualifications to volunteer?

Not necessarily! While some roles may benefit from specific skills, the most important qualifications are enthusiasm, reliability, and a genuine desire to help. We provide training for all volunteers.

How much time do I need to commit?

We have opportunities for all schedules! Whether you can spare 1-2 hours per week or several hours per month, we can find something that works for you. Consistency is more valuable than quantity.

Is there any training provided?

Yes! All new volunteers attend an orientation session where you'll learn about our mission, meet the team, and receive specific training for your chosen role. Ongoing support is always available.

Can I volunteer with friends or family?

Absolutely! Many of our volunteers come as groups or bring family members. It's a great way to bond while making a difference together.

What safety measures are in place?

Volunteer safety is our priority. We provide safety guidelines, never send volunteers to unfamiliar locations alone, and all activities are supervised by experienced staff members.

Will I receive any certificate or recognition?

Yes! We provide volunteer certificates for your records, letters of recommendation when needed, and recognize outstanding volunteers in our annual events and social media.
